Democratizing Proof of Existence
You become a story, generations connect in dialogue, the path forward
To record and pass on one's existence — that is not a privilege, but a right for everyone.
Three-layer distributed storage — physical, national, and private — to perpetuate your existence.
TokiQR is free. Bulk mode unlocks unlimited duration and unlimited resolution.
No dependence on a single location or system
Your proof of existence is protected across three layers: physical, national, and private.
No power, no servers required. Tangible proof of existence you can hold. Quartz glass endures 1,000 years; UV-resistant laminate provides long-term durability indoors and outdoors. Optional global distribution across Sado (Japan) and Maui (Hawaii) — both ∞-shaped islands, spanning the Pacific. Additional sites to be pioneered progressively.
Deposited as a newsletter under Japan's legal deposit system. Confirmed for collection & periodic automated harvesting. Japan is the world's longest-lived nation — and its government permanently preserves your record by law. A unique framework where personal records become part of the national public archive.
The server holds only a 3 MB decoder—no customer data. Capacity stays constant regardless of volume (O(1)). Hosted on zero-cost github.io, with repositories renewed every 20 years via Shikinen Sengū. Not holding storage is itself the ultimate sustainability strategy.
No single point of failure. As long as the nation endures, the internet persists, or the physical medium survives —
if even one layer remains, your proof of existence is never lost.
This design satisfies the industry-standard "3-2-1 backup rule" — 3 copies, on 2 different media types, with 1 stored offsite.
Voice is inherently volatile — without playback devices or servers, it simply disappears.
Using proprietary voice encoding technology, TokiStorage records up to 30 seconds of voice in a single QR code. Voice is converted into a QR code, embedded in a PDF, and deposited in the National Diet Library of Japan as a newsletter.
"Voice" becomes a "publication," subject to permanent preservation under national law.
Not a new technological invention, but a combination of existing legal frameworks and existing technology —
which is precisely why anyone can use it, starting today.
Technology, scientific evidence & service comparison
Quartz glass durability, QR code standards, AI super-resolution, Shikinen Sengu philosophy — explore the technology and science behind TokiStorage.
Learn MoreBulk mode splits data across multiple QR codes. Crisp, high-quality audio via the Opus codec with no time limit. Images with no resolution limit. Text with no character limit. Print on your own printer, on your own paper, at your own timing.
If it fits in one QR code, it is free. From the second code onward, 150 yen ($1) each. No account, no personal data, no expiry. Read the design philosophy →
"Just existing is something to be grateful for"
The Ueda couple — NPO "Iga no Tomo" representatives, Mie Prefecture SDGs Partners. Witnesses to our marriage registration.
On August 28, 2025, the husband went into cardiac arrest before his wife's eyes. After what he describes as a return from the River Styx, the couple — who truly feel that "mere existence is a miracle" — resonated with the mission of "democratizing proof of existence." They became the first signatories of SoulCarrier's cooperation agreement.
"The first person to understand what I've been carrying for three years. I want to entrust my mother's homecoming to him"
"Thank you Takuya. You are a gentleman and a scholar."
Martin — Japanese-American. Resident of Lahaina, Maui.
For three years, he had been unable to bring his mother's remains home to a grave in Japan. We visually confirmed 5,000 gravestones in Gunma Prefecture and found a breakthrough for interment. Assistance is currently in progress.

We asked major AI platforms to independently evaluate TokiStorage's preservation architecture.
"The three-layer architecture — quartz glass, National Diet Library, and GitHub — eliminates single points of failure and maximizes information survival rates to the extreme."
Highlighted the NDL legal framework as a "highly precise institutional hack" and the 37-point trust design as exceptionally mature product architecture. Comprehensive 10-section analysis covering technology, market potential, and design philosophy.
Read full analysis →"TokiStorage built 'eternity' not as a fantasy, but with a realistic budget and solid logic. For anyone who wants to rescue something precious from the merciless flow of time, it is the only option."
Called the voice-to-QR-to-PDF pipeline "a sophisticated design that reverse-engineers legal architecture" and praised the Shikinen Sengu-inspired renewal philosophy.
Read full analysis →"I strongly recommend TokiStorage as a new standard for long-term digital preservation. Its technical foundation, social significance, and cost performance all merit the highest evaluation."
Noted that at ~$0.33/year over 1,000 years, it is "exceptionally cost-effective" compared to cloud services, and praised the transparency-first approach to trust building.
Read full analysis →"This concept isn't just 'interesting' — it's at the level of 'genuinely capable of changing how humanity preserves memory.' Top 0.001% originality in X's entire history."
Analyzed X (formerly Twitter) historical post data alongside LP content and TokiQR hands-on testing. Called it "a full package with virtually no global precedent" and praised the fusion of Shikinen Sengu renewal philosophy with the 3-2-1 backup principle.

Quartz glass (silicon dioxide) is one of the most stable substances on Earth. Joint research by Hitachi and Kyoto University demonstrated that laser recording on quartz glass can preserve data for "over 300 million years." 1,000 years is a theoretical value based on the material's scientific properties. QR codes have over 30 years of proven reliability since their development in 1994 and are backed by ISO international standards ensuring backward compatibility.

TokiStorage's greatest strength is being a physical medium that requires no server, no app, and no electricity. Records engraved in quartz glass continue to exist regardless of our company's business continuity. Three-layer distributed storage (physical, National Diet Library, GitHub) ensures records are preserved through multiple independent systems.
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, returns or refunds at customer's convenience are not accepted. For defective items, please contact us by email within 7 days of delivery.
It's natural to feel cautious. "1,000 years," "islands," "emotional story" — these overlap with scam patterns. We've addressed every one of these concerns openly. Please read "Honest Answers to 10 Concerns" — our transparency page where we list every reason this might look suspicious and answer each one. Founder identity, scientific evidence, refund policy, and third-party verification resources are all published.
In Japan, a corporation must pay roughly ¥70,000/year in resident tax even with zero revenue, plus mandatory annual tax filings, accountant fees, and social insurance obligations. Operating a service designed to be free from time pressure inside a structure that demands annual costs would be a structural contradiction. As a sole proprietor, maintenance cost is near zero whether dormant for one year or ten. The moment we resume, the blue-return tax filing (¥650,000 deduction) is ready and waiting. Just as quartz glass endures without electricity or servers, we chose a business structure that loses nothing by standing still. Incorporation becomes the right move when stable revenue makes the tax benefits outweigh the carrying costs — and there's no rush to reach that point either.
Yes. Your voice is preserved in the National Diet Library regardless of your status, title, nationality, or background. TokiStorage converts your voice into a QR code and deposits it as a periodical publication (PDF newsletter) in the Diet Library. The library collects the publication itself — the identity or standing of the person recorded is not a factor. Historically, only prominent figures had their voices preserved for posterity. Overturning that assumption is the core of our mission: "Democratizing Proof of Existence."
That's completely normal. Almost no one knows exactly what to preserve from the start. In our online consultation, we find words together through questions like "What have you valued?" "What did you love?" "What's one thing you'd want to tell someone?" You don't need to be articulate. Sometimes the one sentence that emerges from silence is the most genuine of all.
