PATRONAGE
Proof of existence should not be a privilege.
Everyone deserves to be remembered.
Join the mission itself.
Not an investment. Not a donation. A third way to participate.
Through SoulCarrier's work — finding burial destinations, surveying unclaimed graves — we have walked to and read over 10,000 headstones across Japan and abroad, one by one, with our own feet and eyes. Headstones inscribed only with "Unknown" broke our hearts. Not even a name remains. That reality convinced us: a system for preserving memory is essential. TokiStorage was born from that conviction.
The technology to preserve memories in quartz glass for a thousand years is ready. But we cannot let it remain a service only for the wealthy. The unclaimed dead, communities that lost their records in disasters, people who pass without a voice — everyone deserves to leave proof they existed.
Patronage is neither investment nor charity. Your name and intention are inscribed in the millennium archive as part of this mission. When the activity you supported endures for a thousand years, that itself becomes your proof of existence.
Your relationship with TokiStorage can take many forms
Evaluate a venture and participate in its growth through capital investment.

Consulting firms and advisors who introduce TokiStorage to their own clients.
Through Timeless Consulting, preserve your story or the memory of someone you love for a thousand years.
Support the work of delivering proof of existence to society. That support itself becomes your proof of existence.
These are not mutually exclusive. You can be a client and a patron. A partner and a patron. The roles overlap naturally.
Four domains where your support makes an impact
We want to build a society where every person's memory endures.
We want to deliver as many "proofs of existence" as possible to a thousand years from now.
Researching and recording the names and stories of those who rest in unclaimed graves. Inscribing them in quartz glass. Connecting the forgotten to someone a thousand years from now.
Festivals fading away, dialects disappearing, disaster lessons forgotten. Supporting projects that preserve community memory for a millennium.
Mentor-student narratives, discovery contexts, intellectual lineage. Building millennium-scale knowledge heritage independent of institutions or platforms.
Advancing R&D to make quartz glass inscription accessible to more people. Reducing cost and broadening access to proof of existence.
Let's figure out the right shape together
There is no fixed formula for patronage. The amount, the shape of involvement — we figure it out together through conversation. What matters is the intention: "I want to support this mission."
No complex contracts. No legal paperwork. No equity structures. All it takes is your intention to support this mission. You can become a patron today.
The return on patronage is not financial
Your name and the intention behind your support are inscribed in quartz glass. A thousand years from now, someone will encounter you as a person who supported this mission. That becomes part of your story.
As the work moves forward, we'll share what's happening — which memories were saved, which milestones were reached. Not on a fixed schedule, but when there's something worth telling.
Supporting the mission is itself your proof of existence. "This person supported the mission to deliver millennium memories to society" — that is your story, delivered to the future.
Your name appears as "Supported by" on every TokiQR playback page worldwide. Each time a voice preserved in a QR code is played, your support is seen — not as advertising, but as gratitude.
Practical considerations for your finance team
TokiStorage Patronage follows the same structure as cultural and social sponsorships — arts festival sponsorships, cultural heritage preservation, and nonprofit partnerships. Your finance team can process it within existing frameworks.
Often classifiable as sponsorship fees or marketing/CSR expenses. The patronage includes tangible deliverables: patron recognition and inscription in the millennium archive, supporting business expense treatment. Please confirm specifics with your tax advisor.
TokiStorage is currently a tax-exempt business and does not issue Qualified Invoices under Japan's invoice system. Under transitional measures, 80% of consumption tax is creditable through September 2026, and 50% through September 2029. Note that full expense deduction (損金算入) is available regardless of invoice status. We will consider registering as a Qualified Invoice Issuer in response to patron needs.
We issue a sponsorship agreement, invoices, and receipts in standard business formats. Your accounting department can process them directly.
